Companies that import, manufacture or sell electrical or electronic equipment must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations

Electrical and electronic equipment includes:-

Large and small household applianceWEEE regs

• Consumer equipment

• Lighting equipment (with the exception of household luminaries and filament light bulbs)

• Electrical and electronic tools

• Toys, leisure and sports equipment

• Medical devices

• Monitoring and control instruments

The aim of the Regulations is to reduce the environmental impacts of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) once the product reaches the end of its life and conserve world resources.
